Osteopathy Clinic

What our osteopath treats

Our osteopath will treat both the area of pain or injury in the body and any inherent weakness that may have caused or contributed to the problem, accident or pain.  Osteopathic treatment can help with common complaints such as:

  • Chronic or recurrent back and lower back pain
  • Mechanical neck pain and headaches
  • Arthritic pain
  • Painful or stiff joints
  • Frozen shoulder, tennis elbow
  • Leg pain and sciatica
  • Nerve pain such as neuralgia

There are many other physical complaints that our osteopath can provide effective treatment for, and where diagnosis suggests osteopathy is not appropriate, our osteopath will refer you to a medical practitioner, consultant, specialist or therapist.

Our osteopath will use a wide range of techniques, joint mobilization, manipulation, massage, cranial osteopathic techniques, visceral mobilisation, and exercise (including Pilates).  This breadth of approach allows us to tailor a treatment plan to your individual needs to ensure the best outcome.

Your osteopathy treatment

Your first appointment with our osteopath will be for 45 mins and is a diagnostic assessment where you will be able to discuss and describe any pain and discomfort, and your individual needs.  Following appointments are 30mins.  The vast majority of our patients require an average of 5 or 6 appointments.   We will always put you first and your treatment will be based on your individual needs.
